Directions to the GW Okinawa Collection

The Okinawa Collection is located in the Gelman Library, 7th floor, at 2130 H Street, N.W. Washington, DC.  We are easily accessible from two metro stations: Foggy Bottom station (Orange & Blue lines) and Farragut North station (Red line). Location of the Okinawa Collection in the Gelman Library

The Okinawa Collection is located inside the Global Resources Center (GRC), which is located on the 7th floor of the Gelman Library. Japanese language books are generally held in the Okinawa Collection, and English language books are shelved in the regular stacks on the 4th, 5th and 6th floors. Outside Visitors

The Okinawa Collection as well as all the GRC collections are open to public. GW students, faculty and staff, and members of certain organizations and institutions in Washington DC have automatic access to the collections. If you are not affiliated with any of these institutions, please call 202-994-7105 or email grc@gwu.edu to arrange for entrance. A picture ID is required to receive a pass and temporary log-in information to GW databases. For more information, please refer to the Visiting the Libraries page.
