During operating hours, building access is available to GW students, faculty, and staff who have completed all of the steps outlined on GW's Onward website. No one will be allowed to sign in without a physical GWorld card or enter the library if their GWorld card tap is denied. Library access is not available for alumni or visitors. Russia, Eurasia, and Eastern and Central Europe Center (REECE) is part of the Global Resources Center's collection of materials dealing with Russia and the Former Soviet Union. REECE is the largest non-governmental collection of its kind in the Washington, D.C., area. The collection’s depth and breadth allows scholars to view the historical development of Russia and the Soviet Union and follow with precision the seismic changes through which the region has lived.
