CREATE Digital Studio

The CREATE digital studio, located on the first floor of Gelman Library, assists students, faculty, and staff with the tools and expertise to expand their ability to create high-quality videos, podcasts, interactive experiences, and data visualization. CREATE is open and available to everyone at GW - regardless of major or department. Professional staff provide workshops and individual consultations to help everyone at GW use digital storytelling to effectively communicate their research and ideas in the online world.

Audiovisual Production Suite 

Shoot professional-quality video in our reservable A/V suite. The suite will accommodate four people and comes equipped with a professional-quality camera, lights, microphones, recording/editing/streaming computer, green screen, podcasting mixer, studio speakers, and studio headphones. Additional equipment may be reserved and in-suite consultations are available to help setting up your project.

3-D and Large-Format Printing

A large-format printer is available for students and faculty to print a research poster or class project (prior faculty approval required.) Three 3-D printers are available for students, faculty, and staff.

Multimedia Editing Computers

High-powered multimedia editing computers are available for walk-in use in CREATE digital studio. These computers are optimized for video editing, audio editing, illustration, 3-D modeling, and creating interactive experiences using Unity or Unreal.

Sound Booth

Record professional-quality audio in our reservable sound booth. The sound booth will accommodate up to two people and comes equipped with a podcasting mixer, professional-quality microphones, studio headphones, and an SD card.
