Open Access

What is Open Access?

Open Access (OA) is the free, immediate, online availability of research articles coupled with the rights to use these articles fully in the digital environment. OA ensures that anyone can access and use these results and ideas to impact knowledge and grow ideas. GW encourages you to consider open access publishing to make your work more broadly available. Through the passage of the GW Faculty Open Access Resolution, the university has demonstrated its commitment to the free and open dissemination of knowledge.
