The Respondus LockDown Browser is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment for Blackboard quizzes and exams. While using it, you are unable to copy, print, access other applications, visit other websites, or close the test until it is submitted.
Can I use Respondus LockDown Browser on library computers?
Respondus LockDown Browser is available and installed on library PCs.
Respondus Monitor is NOT available on library computers. Monitor requires students use a webcam and microphone with LockDown Browser and library computers do not have webcams or microphones.
Please Note: To access Respondus LockDown Browser on a library computer, search "LockDown Brower" or look for LockDown Browser in the Start menu. It is NOT listed under the name "Respondus."
How do students use Respondus LockDown Browser to take a test?

On a library PC, search search "LockDown Brower" or look for LockDown Browser in the Start menu and click on it to open the program. It is NOT listed under the name "Respondus" on library computers.

Once launched, LockDown Browser will open Blackboard.

Log into your Blackboard account and start your test.
Please Note: If you open Blackboard first and attempt to take the test, LockDown Browser will launch, but request an administrative password. You MUST launch LockDown Browser before opening Blackboard.
