Closed

The Gelman Library building is closed for a significant HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) system maintenance project. Himmelfarb Health Sciences Library remains available for students and faculty of SMHS, GWSPH, and SON. For faculty and for students enrolled in summer courses at other GW schools, the Burns Law Library is available through August 10, 2026.

Visit the Summer Closure 2026 webpage for information on how to access library materials and services.

Printing at the Library

GW Printing, GW's central printing system, is a cloud-based, wireless printing service enabling you to print from anywhere on- or off-campus, and even from your smartphone or tablet. Simply send your print job to the cloud and visit any GW Printing kiosk on campus to print your document. The library has several kiosks available on the first, second (entrance), third, and seventh floors of the building.

Detailed information on printing at the library and around campus is available on the GW Printing website

Find information about access to printing, library computers, and wireless connection for users who do not have a GW UserID on our Visitor Access to Technology page.
