Consultation Topics
Teaching & Course Design
Collaborate with us to explore a variety of evidence-based teaching strategies. Enhance engagement in the classroom through active learning. Get help on improving accessibility throughout course materials. Work with us on designing or redesigning a course.
Classroom Teaching Observations
We provide feedback that is not intended as an evaluation of teaching and exists independently of the tenure and promotion process.
Mid-Semester Feedback Sessions
Led by one of our trained facilitators, a mid-semester student feedback session gives students the opportunity to articulate what in a course is helping them learn and what can be done to improve their learning.
Peer Review Training
For those interested in setting up a peer review with a group of colleagues, we can conduct peer observation training. We use a sample teaching video to train on how to produce effective observations and reports.
Online Course Design
We provide consultations related to online teaching and course development, including incorporating online aspects into your on-campus course and updating an online course that you have taught in the past.
Teaching with Creative Technology
We offer guidance and support for faculty who are interested in the design and production of digital teaching materials and/or digital projects. These may involve planning for and the use of Adobe Creative Cloud or other creative media tools.
Instructional Technology
Our Instructional Technology Lab (ITL) team offers expertise and guidance to instructors who need assistance with Blackboard and other instructional technologies they use for teaching.
