Reference and Research Help

There are several ways to get reference/ research assistance:

  • In person at the Virginia Science and Technology Campus Library (check our business hours)
  • Call our circulation desk for help with general library issues and basic research questions: (571) 553-8230.
  • E-mail your questions to virginia@gwu.edu
  • Schedule an appointment for more complex research help with a GW Libraries reference librarian

Research guides are a good place to start. They provide links to journal article databases and useful online resources. They also list specialized subject encyclopedias and other materials housed in our libraries.

For in-depth research assistance or to arrange for an individual or group instruction session, we recommend that you make an appointment with one of our librarians.
