Dr. Hannah Jardine joined the CTE as the Director of Faculty Development in July 2025. She brings over eight years of experience in educational development from three different DC-area institutions: American University, Catholic University of America, and University of Maryland College Park. She holds a PhD in Teaching and Learning Policy and Leadership from UMD with a focus on Science Education, and has taught education courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, including for GWU's Graduate School of Education and Human Development. Dr. Jardine has a strong record of scholarship in higher education teaching and learning, largely in STEM disciplines. Through her professional work, research, and teaching, she aims to promote more student-driven, equitable, transformative education, with a focus on students as pedagogical partners.
