Building access is available to GW students, faculty, and staff who have completed all of the steps outlined on GW's Onward website. No one will be allowed to sign in without a physical GWorld card or enter the library if their GWorld card tap is denied. Library access is not available for alumni or visitors. Masks are required inside all library buildings.

Brigette C. Kamsler

Brigette C. Kamsler (she/her) is the University Archivist at George Washington University. Prior to her time at GW, Brigette was the United States Corporate Archivist for the bank HSBC and an Archivist at the Burke Library at Union Theological Seminary, Columbia University, both in New York City. She has a BA in History from Millersville University and a MLIS with a specialty in archives, preservation and records management from the University of Pittsburgh.

Brigette works with students, faculty, the administration and the community on research into the history of the University, and collects materials for the archives. She assists in teaching with special collections and is a library partner with the GW University Writing Program. Special projects have included the Bicentennial celebration and working with the Special Committees on the Marvin Center and the Colonial moniker. Brigette also is embedded in the Records Management program of the University.
