E-Reserves and Blackboard

Accessing electronic reserves and finding course materials on Blackboard

You can access Electronic Reserves (e-reserves) through Blackboard 24 hours a day.  Access to these materials is limited to students in the class.

Visit the Blackboard site and log in. Open your course's page and look for Electronic Reserves on the left side menu. Items are linked to Electronic Reserves upon request of the faculty.

Viewing and Printing Materials on Blackboard

When viewing or printing material from Blackboard, it's best to right-click on the link and open the document in a new window. If you need to print, do so from the new window.

Material on Blackboard is usually in PDF format, but is sometimes formatted to be viewed using a specific application, such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, or Microsoft Word. In order to view files formatted for these applications, that application (or a viewer version or it) must be loaded on the computer you are using.

If you still have problems, contact the GW Help Desk at (202) 994-5530.
