Building access is available to GW students, faculty, and staff who have submitted proof of vaccination and had that documentation accepted or were approved for a vaccine exception. They must also have taken their required COVID test and have a GWorld card that is enabled for campus access. GWorld access is typically enabled within about two hours of the COVID test. No one will be allowed to sign in without a physical GWorld card or enter the library if their GWorld card tap is denied. Library access is not available for alumni or visitors.

GW Students and staff

Students and staff should connect using the GWireless Network. More information on the GWireless network is available from GW Information Technology.

If you are having problems connecting to this network, contact GW Information Technology at (202) 994-4948, ithelp@gwu.edu, or visit the IT Support Center during office hours or for scheduled appointments in Phillips Hall, Room B154.

Visitors should connect to the GW_Connect wireless network. You may self-register for this network. Begin by connecting to the GW_Connect wireless network, and opening your web browser. You should be redirected to a registration page (If you are not redirected, navigate to my.gwu.edu). Complete instructions are available from GW Information Technology.

If your institution is a member of the eduroam initiative, you may connect to eduroam at GWU with your home institution credentials. Find out if your home institution is an eduroam member here.
