Scholarly Research, Writing, and Publishing 25 Years after the Collapse of Communism

The Global Resources Center (GRC) and the National Security Archive hosted a panel discussion exploring how scholarly research on Russia/the former Soviet Union and Central/Eastern Europe has changed over the last 25 years. The event asked: What are the current challenges, successes, and failures in this rich area of interdisciplinary study?

The event was moderated by Tom Blanton, Executive Director of the National Security Archive. Panelists were Robert W. Orttung, Sharon Wolchik, Jim Hershberg, and Svetlana Savranskaya. For more information contact the Global Resources Center at (202) 994-7105.
