Make an appointment for a Review Session
Program Overview
Review sessions are offered weekly by Learning Assistants who are undergraduate students who have been hired and trained to offer high-quality academic support. Through partnerships between Academic Commons and select academic departments, these peer-led group sessions provide a welcoming space to revisit course material, ask questions, and build confidence. Students can view and join sessions through Penji (see our Penji How-To Guide for help).
Why Attend Review Sessions?
Review sessions are a great way to help students build confidence, reinforce material, and stay on track in their courses. Led by peers who have successfully completed the class and been trained to actively engage students in the learning experience, these sessions provide guidance in a supportive environment.
Strengthen their understanding of course material through guided, peer-led learning.
Prepare for exams and assignments with targeted practice and review.
Sharpen their study strategies by seeing how others approach the same material.
Connect with classmates and build a sense of community in their course.
Review sessions are designed for any student looking to increase their knowledge, understanding, and skill set. We encourage students to attend early and often throughout the semester.
