Applications are open through March 25th for the University Teaching and Learning Center's second annual Course Design Institute. This is an intensive "boot camp" style cohort program for any GW faculty member to redesign or design a course while experiencing active learning teaching approaches.

Scholarship on Teaching and Learning (SoTL) is a growing area of research and discussion at top universities across the country, and we are excited to be joining their ranks through this inaugural effort. GW faculty interested in the systematic inquiry of teaching and learning are invited to present their classroom research, big or small, completed or in progress, at a SoTL Poster Session that will be part of the 2016 GW Teaching Dayon October 14, 2016. Poster proposals are due May 15, 2016. Get started using Tinkercad; the free, browser-based CAD software. You will learn how to create 3-D models from scratch and altering existing models. Once created, we will import our models into Makerbot Desktop, the software that drives our 3D printers. Chromebooks will be available to use Tinkercad.
