Resistance in Tlaxcala, Mexico: Popular Struggles Against Capitalism

featuring Luz Rivera Martinez, Organizer with the Consejo Nacional Urbano Y Campesino (CNUC)

Ms. Martinez will present on popular resistance to neoliberal capitalism in one of Mexico's smallest states, Tlaxcala. She has 20 years of experience constructing autonomy, organizing outside the electoral system, and resisting genetically modified corn with protecting millennia-old varieties. Her talk will have important lessons for anyone interested in human rights; as well as the women, peasant, and labor movements.
