Keeping Up with New Research

This event has already taken place, please don't try to go to it!
Keeping Up with New Research

A successful graduate student participates in the research conversation of their field. Librarian Debbie Bezanson will show you how to keep up with new research in your area of study. You'll learn how to set up journal table of contents alerts, search alerts, and identify key journals in your field.

This workshop will be available to the GW community in real time on March 3rd, 2017 from 2:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. via WebEx. Attend via WebEx by clicking here. Keeping Up with New Research is offered consecutively with Basics of Graduate Research and Exploring Beyond Gelman: Advanced Research Skills.

This workshop is also offered on Monday, February 20, 10:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

This workshop is part of the Research at the Next Level Workshop Series, which offers the practical skills you need to improve your research and save time doing it. Other workshops in this Spring 2017 series are Crossing the Finish Line: Uploading Your Electronic Thesis or Dissertation (ETD), Basics of Graduate Research, Exploring Beyond Gelman: Advanced Research Skills, Keeping Up with New Research, Citation Chasing & Cited Reference Searching, Find and Use Open Access Images, and Copyright Basics for Graduate Students.
