GIS Interface Basics: GIS Workshop 1 of 3

GIS Interface Basics

In this first of three workshops, we plan on demystifying both GIS software and how to import vector data to make a simple map. You'll learn how to navigate the interface and highlight important functions within ArcGIS and QGIS.

This workshop is also offered to the GW community in real time and via WebEx on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

This workshop is part of the Visualizing Data with GIS Workshop Series, which offers both introductory and in-depth sessions on using geographic information systems. Other workshops in this Fall 2017 series are Finding GIS Data & Resources, GIS Interface Basics, Completing a Map & Cartographic Skills, and Spatial Analysis with QGIS. All sessions will be first-come, first served.
