In this first of three workshops, we plan on demystifying both GIS software and how to import vector data to make a simple map. You'll learn how to navigate the interface and highlight important functions within ArcGIS and QGIS.
This workshop will also be availble to the GW community in real time on February 22nd, 2017 from 5:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. via WebEx.
This workshop is part of the Visualizing Data with GIS Workshop Series, which offers both introductory and in-depth sessions on using geographic information systems. Other workshops in this Spring 2017 series are Introduction to GIS, Finding GIS Data & Resources, GIS Interface Basics, Completing a Map, Spatial Analysis with QGIS, and Interpreting and Obtaining Data from Historical Maps. All sessions will be first-come, first served.
