Access to the Gelman and VSTC Library buildings is available only to residential students and to GW students, faculty, and staff who have special permission to be on campus (the on-campus cohort) and a quarantine status of "cleared." Those who are not part of the on-campus cohort will not have physical access to campus buildings. Seat reservations are required. 

Getting Started with SoTL: How to Build Research on Teaching

This event has already taken place, please don't try to go to it!

This session will focus on how to conduct your first Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) project: how to try something new in the classroom and collect information to determine if it improved students' learning.  We will briefly review the five steps of a SoTL project--generating a research question, designing a study, collecting data, analyzing data and presenting your project--hear tips from faculty who have done SoTL projects, and receive feedback on ideas for our own SoTL research.
