Finding and Accessing Government Produced Data: Introduction to the US Census, CDC Wonder, and NOAA

Interested in using government data for your research? Come to this Data Day workshop to learn about how to quickly access Census, Center for Disease Control, and National Oceanic and Atomospheric data. Please bring a laptop computer to follow along!

This workshop is part of the Data Day workshop series for anyone who needs help using statistical software packages to manipulate and analyze research data. Other workshops in this Fall 2018 series are Popular Economic Data Sources, Data Day Exhibit Hall: Play around with the data analysis software and statistical resources provided by GW LAI, Machine Learning for Novices: Interactive workshop. An introduction to new concepts and to how to use IBM’s Watson Assistant, and Introduction to Data Visualization.

All sessions will be first-come, first served and are free to GW students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Attendance requires no reservation.
