Crossing the Finish Line: Uploading Your Electronic Thesis or Dissertation (ETD)

This event has already taken place, please don't try to go to it!
Data Bootcamp: Collecting, managing, and visualizing

The writing is done. The citations have been cross checked. Your adviser has signed off. All that's left is to upload your electronic thesis or dissertation--but what does that really mean? Don't be caught off guard! Led by Valerie Emerson, ETD administrator, this short workshop will introduce you to the interface for uploading your document and give you a head start on what you will be asked during that process. Please bring your own computer to this session.

Data Bootcamps are a series of workshops for graduate students who need instruction in  collecting, managing, and visualizing research data.  These 30 minute workshops offer practical solutions to save you hours of needless work.  All sessions will be first-come, first serve, with the GIS session limited to 20 participants.

Attendees are invited to stick around for sessions on data basics, data management, and GIS data basics happening from 1-3pm. This workshop is also offered on Tuesday, February 16 at 1:00 pm. If you can't make it to all of the sessions or need more information be sure to check out the research guides: "Data Management," "Maps, Cartographic Data, and GIS Information," and "Uploading your ETD."

Kids off school for the day? Quiet and happily occupied offspring are welcome to attend.
