Interested in studying social media for your class or scholarly research? GW Libraries offers a tool called Social Feed Manager for collecting data from Twitter, Tumblr, Flickr, and Sina Weibo. In this workshop, we will explore the data available from social media platforms, demonstrate how to collect and export data with Social Feed Manager, and discuss the ethical and privacy concerns in working with social media data.
This workshop will be available in real time to the GW community on February 14th, 2017 from 12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m. via WebEx. Attend via WebEx by clicking here.
This workshop is part of the Research Data Workshop Series for anyone who needs help collecting, managing, and visualizing research data. Other worships in this Spring 2017 series are Data Demystified, Data Management, Collecting Social Media Data with Social Feed Manager, Data Analysis at Your Fingertips: Using Google Sheets, and Intro to Stata.
