This program fits into GW’s Statement on Diversity and Inclusion because it is parallel to the idea that we must intentionally act to create the diverse and inclusive community that enables everyone to flourish. Unfortunately, outside of GW and in the workplace, this does not always happen. Hosting a panel of minorities in their workplace (those who identify as female, African-American, Latino, disabled, LBGTQ, etc.) would make for an interesting and eye-opening conversation surrounding the negative and positive experiences of being a minority in the workplace.
