CANCELLED: Introduction to Python for Data Analysis

This event has already taken place, please don't try to go to it!

GW has moved to online-only classes in an effort to limit exposure to the covid-19 virus. This workshop is cancelled in accordance with that guidance.

Python is a popular programming language that novices often find easy to learn. This workshop will introduce participants to programming by using Python to focus on the basic concepts that all programming languages build upon, and will also introduce participants to working with and visualizing data in Python, using the Pandas library.

No prior programming knowledge is required, just a basic understanding of computer files and folders. Please bring a laptop to this workshop.

There will be a break from 6:00pm-6:45pm.

All sessions will be first-come, first served and are free to GW students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Attendance requires no reservation.

This workshop is also offered on:

Monday, January 27, 2020 - 10am-3pm

This workshop is part of the Programming and Coding series for those interested in enhancing their skills in web or software development, coding and scripting, and automating processes to retrieving or cleaning data.
