Hypothesis

What is Hypothesis?

Hypothesis is a social annotation tool that allows users to comment on documents, webpages, and YouTube videos. Instructors can integrate Hypothesis assignments into their Blackboard courses as graded or ungraded activities. Adding Hypothesis to readings in your course fosters deeper student engagement with course materials by enabling students and teachers to add comments and start conversations in the margins of texts.

How do instructors and students access Hypothesis?

All GW users can access Hypothesis through its integration in Blackboard without the need to create an account. This integration allows instructors to grade activities in hypothesis and sync grades to the Blackboard gradebook.

Where can I learn more about Hypothesis?
