Because environmental issues can be approached in a multidisciplinary way, Udall Undergraduate Scholarship is offered to students from a broad range of disciplines. In awarding the scholarships, consideration will be given to the student's field of study, career objectives, and the extent to which that individual has the commitment and potential to make a significant contribution to his or her field.
Native American students who are committed to careers related to tribal policy and health care are especially encouraged to apply.
The Morris K. and Stewart L. Udall Foundation will award approximately 80 scholarships to outstanding students, to be known as Morris K. and Stewart L. Udall Scholars. Each scholar receives up to $7,000, or the cost of tuition, fees, books, and room and board, whichever is less.
To receive university endorsement, you must:
- submit the Intent to Apply Form by August 31, by 11:59 pm EST, and
- complete the best draft of your application through the Udall Scholarship application portal by December 1, by 11:59 pm EST. Please contact CUFR at fellcent@gwu.edu to gain access to the application.
If you are endorsed, you have the opportunity to revise your application based on endorsement committee feedback.
The foundation website and Blackboard are your primary sources for this award. Undergraduates will gain access to the CUFR Blackboard Organization in their first consultation.
