Michelle Orange is a contributing editor at the Virginia Quarterly Review, where she is also a columnist.
Orange teaches in the graduate writing programs at Goucher College and Columbia University, and is the author of two books: Pure Flame and This Is Running for Your Life: Essays. Her work has appeared in Harper's, the New Yorker, Slate, and other publications.
