The 4th, 5th, and 6th floors, including the book stacks, are CLOSED to patrons while we make building improvements. Study space and reservable study rooms are available on the 1st and 2nd (entrance) floors. Books are available via Retrieval and Pick Up. Books located in areas of active work may take an additional 1-2 days to retrieve.

 The Jenny McKean Moore Reading Series and the GW English Department present Poet Brian Gilmore, who will be reading from his latest collection, come see about me, marvin, and discussing his work.

D.C. native Brian Gilmore is a poet, writer, and columnist. He is the author of poetry collections elvis presley is alive and well and living in harlem, Jungle Nights and Soda Fountain Rags, We Didn’t Know Any Gangsters, and his latest, come see about me, marvin. He has published in The Progressive, The Nation, The Washington Post, Book Forum, The Baltimore Sun, and Jubilat. He currently teaches at the University of Maryland, College Park.
