Workforce development, especially in emerging areas of the economy such as the industries of the future, spans virtually all domains of higher education operation (in-class education, co-curriculum programs, research opportunities, and more), and there remain significant research and programmatic questions about strategies to broaden participation and improve student outcomes. This seminar focuses on identifying and securing external funds to support discipline-based education research (DBER), with an emphasis on opportunities in the National Science Foundation (NSF).
