This seminar explores approaches that scale student engagement in and out of the classroom in support of teaching and learning objectives, as well as mechanisms for providing feedback (also at scale). The first part of the seminar focuses on strategies for student engagement that emphasize active, blended, and collaborative learning as mechanisms for student-faculty connection as well as peer-to-peer learning. The second part of the seminar emphasizes scalable assessment methods, some of which leverage technology, that provide students with robust feedback in time-efficient and scalable ways.
