–

Discover how open source is transforming research, education, and society—and how you can be part of it. This hands-on workshop covers the basics of open source and ends with your very first contribution on GitHub (account required). Bonus: Student attendees can earn credit toward an OSPO student award!

Please sign up for a free GitHub account before coming to this workshop. Contact ospo@gwu.edu with any questions or if you have a problem creating your GitHub account.

To learn more about open source tools, open science, or open scholarship at GW, visit the Open Source Program Office’s website.

All sessions are free to GW students, faculty, staff, and alumni. GW has an institutional commitment to ensuring that all of our programs and events are accessible for all individuals. If you require any accommodations to participate in this event, please contact libraryevents@gwu.edu at least 72 business hours (3 business days) prior to the event.
