Funding Your Research with the Sigelman Undergraduate Research Enhancement (SURE) Award

The Sigelman Undergraduate Research Enhancement (SURE) award provides up to $1,000 to undergraduates at GW to support research in all disciplines including the humanities, the arts, science and engineering, business, and public health. The Center for Undergraduate Fellowships and Research (CUFR) will review how to craft a strong application, including how to structure a Statement of Award Purpose, draft an itemized budget, and solicit faculty statements of support. SURE awards can be used to fund conference travel, research supplies, human subject disbursements, and more.

This workshop is presented by the the Center for Undergraduate Fellowships and Research (CUFR). CUFR offers inclusive support and mentorship for undergraduate students and alumni pursuing awards and research opportunities. If you are interested in learning more about research or fellowship opportunities, consider booking a consultation with CUFR.

All sessions are free to GW students, faculty, staff, and alumni. GW has an institutional commitment to ensuring that all of our programs and events are accessible for all individuals. If you require any accommodations to participate in this event, please contact libraryevents@gwu.edu at least 72 business hours (3 business days) prior to the event.
