Let the Transformation Begin
May 7th's Cafe Gelman marked a milestone in this venerable GW Libraries event. Not only was it held outside for the first time in its more than twenty year history, but it was also the last time the caffeine-filled fiesta would happen before the entrance floor renovation began.
Almost immediately after the last weary student finished their final "final" exam, Gelman's transformation began. Staff relocated, contractors prepped their spaces, and a safety fence was built near Kogan Plaza to begin demolishing what was once a loading dock and what will soon become the new entry staircase leading to a renovated entrance floor.
The renovation of the entrance floor has officially begun, and Gelman's long-awaited transformation is underway. Stay updated on the progress on our News and Events blog, social networks, and community development pages.
