The National Churchill Library and Center

An event at the National Churchill Library and Center

The George Washington University has formed a philanthropic partnership with the International Churchill Society (formerly known as the Churchill Centre). Housed on the first floor of the Estelle and Melvin Gelman Library, this is the first major research facility in the nation’s capital dedicated to the study of Winston Churchill.

Winston Churchill’s leadership during the greatest crises of the twentieth century provides inspiration and instruction to leaders in every field of endeavor. The Center, through its collections, interdisciplinary academic programs, and educational exhibits, offers GW students, faculty, researchers, and the public the opportunity to examine the life and legacy of Churchill. To learn more about how to book the NCLC for an event, please email libraryevents@gwu.edu. The National Churchill Library and Center (NCLC) is open to GW students, faculty, and staff whenever Gelman Library is open. To learn more about how to support this important initiative, please contact Development and Alumni Relations at supportstudents@gwu.edu or call 202-994-0665.
