The Gelman Library building is closed through August 23 for a significant HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) system maintenance project. Himmelfarb Health Sciences Library remains available for students and faculty of SMHS, GWSPH, and SON.

Adobe Express: Preparing Files for Large-Format Printing

Before submitting a large format print request to the CREATE Digital Studio, you will want to ensure that your poster has the appropriate resolution, size, and is in the JPEG file format.

Sizing

Before starting work on your poster, make sure you have properly set up your canvas size. Please note that Adobe Express has a maximum size of 48 inches for canvas width and height.

  1. Select the plus icon in the top left corner.

  2. Click Custom size.
  3. Change Unit from pixels to inches and enter the width and height for your poster.
  4. Select Create new file

  5. If you need to change your poster’s size after you have started working on it, there is a Resize button on the top of the editor screen.

  6. Under Custom ensure Unit is set to inches and enter the new dimensions for your poster.
  7. Click Resize.

Exporting

  1. Select Download in the top right corner of the editor.
  2. Change the File format to JPG.
  3. Set the Size to at least 0.75. This determines the image’s pixel density, or resolution.
  4. Click Download.
