Research Tools

The Library’s online catalog is the primary tool for locating rare books and maps in the Kiev Judaica Collection. Search and browse this collection guide for rare books and maps in the Kiev collection and this guide for the archival collections relating to Jewish Studies at the Special Collections Research Center.

The Kiev Room

Located on the 7th floor of the Gelman Library, the Kiev Room houses the rare books and archival materials of the Kiev Collection. Lectures and public events, including meetings of the Greater Washington Jewish History Colloquium, are held in the Kiev Room regularly during the academic year. The Kiev Room also hosts an active program of instruction for GWU Judaic Studies and Hillel students as well as visiting community groups.

Contact

The Kiev collections are made accessible on site in the Special Collections Research Center. See here for current access and hours information.
