Students interested in temporary part-time non-benefit eligible employment at GW Libraries are encouraged to submit an application and resume to Gelman Library Room 306 or 305. As departmental supervisors need employees, they will review the applications and contact the student(s) for an interview.
Due to budgetary constraints the Library will fill as many positions as possible with Federal Work Study students. They will then consider filling any remaining vacancies with Non-Work Study Students.
GW Libraries Human Resources keeps student employment applications on file for one academic semester. Generally, each hiring unit uses three broad factors to pre-screen student applications: work study status, availability and experience. The hiring unit will only contact those students they are interested in interviewing.
The Student Application is not an employment contract. It does not constitute a job offer or a promise of employment. Your availability and qualifications will be considered along with those of other applicants. If you are selected for an interview, the hiring unit supervisor or manager will notify you by phone/e-mail. Thank you for understanding that due to the high volume of applicants, we are not able to notify those who are not selected for further consideration.
If you have any questions or if you would like to update your application, please visit GW Libraries Human Resources in Gelman Library Room 305 or 306, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Office Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
