Katherine Miscavige

Katherine Miscavige, Ph.D., is an Educational Developer who joined the University Teaching & Learning Center in 2017.

Katherine brings a wealth of teaching experience to GWU. Over the last decade she has taught courses in composition, research, literature, and culture at a variety of higher educational institutions, including large research institutions such as Stony Brook University, George Mason University, and NYU.  She has experience teaching university students of all levels, from freshman in need of remediation to graduate students, and has worked extensively with international student populations and English language learners.  She also has experience delivering courses in a variety of formats, including small seminars, large lectures, face-to-face, and fully online courses.

Katherine holds a Ph.D. in English from Stony Brook University in New York, where she studied medieval literature and culture.
