A Virtual Sea of Improvements
The GW Libraries (Gelman, Eckles, and the Virginia Science & Technology Campus Library) are excited to announce the changes to our web site and search tools. With these changes, we hope to improve your online experience in several key areas.
Look different? In an effort to provide a more seamless online experience, we've upgraded to a new layout, improved site navigation and included support for mobile devices.
The GW Libraries will launch the new version of ArticlesPlus this summer. The new ArticlesPlus will continue to search a large number of books and ebooks, newspaper and journal articles, and other online resources. But it will also offer a number of key improvements, including: enhanced access to full text online and print, a simplified interface, and easy links to resources throughout the Washington Research Libraries Consortium (WRLC).
- Learn more about Summon, the discovery layer platform behind ArticlesPlus.
- Information about folder items and links in your "old" ArticlesPlus account.
In early fall the Surveyor catalog will no longer be supported. With the new ArticlesPlus, you can search everything in the catalog, including books and ebooks, media, journal titles, and special collection material. Refine your search to "Items in the Library Catalog" to find items in any of the Washington Research Libraries Consortium (WRLC) libraries. In addition, you can still search for material and browse subject headings in the Aladin ("Classic") Catalog.
Full Text Online and Find It
We plan to upgrade our Journals List and Find It pages with easier and more reliable access to full text online. Whether you want an article, a book, or an ebook, we're working to make it easier to get to what you're looking for or give you a way to get what you need even if it's not readily available at GW or our consortium peer libraries in WRLC.
