The Statistical Abstract of the United States, published by the U.S. Census Bureau since 1878, is the authoritative and comprehensive summary of statistics on the social, political, and economic organization of the United States. Sources of data include the Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Bureau of Economic Analysis, and many other Federal agencies and private organizations. In order to save funds, the Census Bureau ceased publication after the 2012 edition. In 2013, ProQuest and Bernan Press teamed up to resume the publication. Users can find both versions in our database list. The current edition is available on ProQuest at http://proxygw.wrlc.org/login?url=http://search.proquest.com/statistical... and older editions are available on the Census Bureau website at http://www.census.gov/compendia/statab/.
