Campus-wide Moment of Silence
The George Washington University will observe a moment of silence to remember the victims and heroes of September 11, 2001. We ask that, to the extent possible, all members of the GW community pause in their academic and professional activities for one minute at 8:46 a.m. The carillon bells on the Foggy Bottom and Mount Vernon campuses will toll for the duration of the moment of silence.
H Street, between 20th and 21st Streets, NW
Foggy Bottom Campus
The event will honor the memory of the nine GW alumni who died in the September 11 tragedy as well as all of those who lost their lives as a result of the attacks that day. The observance is open to the entire GW community and all friends of the university. Please join us as we remember those who died and those who have subsequently risked their lives to protect our nation. The rain location is Marc C. Abrahms Great Hall at the Marvin Center, First Floor, 800 21st Street, NW, Foggy Bottom Campus. For further information, call (202) 994-7129 or email email@example.com.
