Faculty Forum on Library Collections
Thursday, March 24
2:00pm to 3:30pm
Gelman Library, Room 219
Like other academic institutions, GW faces serious challenges in sustaining a library collection that keeps pace with evolving faculty and student needs. Unabated price inflation on important academic resources translates into a steady loss in purchasing power for the library.
The Faculty Forum on Library Collections will feature a presentation on how the GW Libraries are developing new strategies to stretch our dollars and provide access to the resources that you need as well as remarks by Dr. C. Dianne Martin, vice provost for faculty affairs, and Shandra White, director of sponsored projects in the Office of the Vice President for Research.
Learn more about the constraints of a publishing landscape structured by inelastic demand and monopolistic pricing. Join us for a discussion of how we as an institution can best meet these challenges. Come and make your voice heard.
