Drop by GW's Special Collections Research Center for a hands-on experience with some of the rare and archival materials held in the libraries. On display will be rare books, historic GW memorabilia, documents and other items from DC history, historic maps, photographs, and more! Get to know the rare artifacts that are open for use in your research. Librarians will be available to answer any questions you have about using special collections.
This workshop is part of the Research at the Next Level Series, which offers the practical skills you need to improve your research and save time doing it. Can't get enough special collections? Join us for Rare Book Fridays, a monthly open house featuring an up-close look at the jewels of GW's special collections. Archivists will choose a different collection for display each month and be on hand to a discuss the books and answer questions. This is a great opportunity to interact with rare and historic items that are usually kept in secure storage areas.
