Ethnographic Art Books | Student Work

This event has already taken place, please don't try to go to it!

Please join us for an informal presentation of unique work produced by students in GW's Introduction to Sociocultural Anthropology course. Emerging from the intersection of ethnographic inquiry, art and design, these Ethnographic Art Books are inspired by students’ original ethnographic research on topics ranging in topics from gender stereotypes at GW’s gym to student interactions with DC water. Books will be on display and presented by their makers.

This work has been guided collaboratively by Dr. Erica Wortham, Lecturer in the Department of Anthropology, and Professor Kerry McAleer-Keeler, Program Head of Art and The Book at the Corcoran School of Art and Design.
