Electronic Resources Group

The E-Resources Team manages and supports access to e-resources, including databases, e-journals, e-books, and streaming media.  We are primarily responsible for e-resource access points including the subject databases list, journals list, and link resolver, proxy server, and also are involved in supporting the discovery layer and other search tools.  We work closely with others in the library to improve the usability of licensed and free e-resources and improve the user experience overall.  We troubleshoot access problems and communicate with patrons, vendors, and publishers.  The group coordinates with other teams in Content Management to create and monitor workflows for e-resources throughout their lifecycle and is responsible for the E-Resource Management System and its knowledgebase.

In addition, the E-Resources Team coordinates the Electronic Thesis and Dissertation (ETD) submission process at GW among ProQuest, the Libraries, school ETD administrators, and other administrators.  The Libraries' ETD Specialist reviews ETD submissions and provide students with assistance, including technical support.

To report a problem or ask a question about e-resources, email ereshelp@gwu.edu

For more information about e-resources generally, email gwlib-Eresources@groups.gwu.edu.

For more information about the ETD process, please visit the ETD webpage or email the Library ETD Administrator.

The E-Resources Team consists of:

Laura Wrubel, Manager
